Dickey’s Franchise Guarantee is a staple of DFW, with locations all over the DFW area. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Dallas has been serving up delicious Texas-style BBQ since 1941 when R.L Dickey started selling meat from his truck to people on the street corners of East Dallas. 80 years later, Dickey’s is still smoking’ barbecue!
The first restaurant was called the “Green Top Barbecue”, and it served food out of a building where they did cater on the side. Over time, word spread of this delicious barbecue and soon there were lines out the door. People did not have menus to order off of or anything like that, so the restaurant did everything they could to give these customers what they wanted.
An article entitled “Why Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Franchise Options Are a Perfect Fit”, discusses how easy and affordable it is to own a Dickey’s BBQ Restaurant. To stay ahead of the curve, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit have created unique, more flexible business models to provide a best-in-class franchise opportunity that meets the needs of all investors.
The menu at Dickey’s is simple and straightforward. Customers can order up a variety of meats by the pound, which come with two sides, toast, and your choice of sauce. There are also combo meals available for added convenience. For fifty cents more than the price of one meat combo meal you can get two meats and two sides, or for $1 more than the price of two meat combo you can get three meats. The full menu can be found here, but below are some notable selections:
Sausage – Dickey’s sausage is made in house daily, so it never tastes like processed mystery meat. It’s served both as a side and as a meat.
Pork Ribs – Whole racks of ribs are served up at Dickey’s and the flavor is amazing, both when dipped in sauce or eaten plain.
Pulled Pork – Dickey’s BBQ Franchise slow cooks their pork shoulder for 8 hours before shredding it and serving it with your choice of BBQ sauce on Texas toast.
Chicken – The chicken at Dickey’s is super moist and comes in a full chicken or sliced like their famous turkey.
BBQ Turkey – Dickey’s slow cooks their turkey for 8 hours before serving it, just like the pulled pork. It is also served on Texas toast with your choice of sauce.
Brisket – Chopped brisket, the most popular meat at Dickey’s, is a phenomenally delicious cut of beef that is both lean and tender.
Salad Bar – The salad bar at Dickey’s is similar to those found in other BBQ restaurants around town. It includes a variety of vegetables as well as fried chicken macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and barbecue beans. Go here for additional information
